Founder's Story
Chinook Skincare was born from a desire to create a simpler, more effective approach to skincare, inspired by founder Megan’s personal journey of resilience, healing, and a deep appreciation for high-quality ingredients.
For 10 years, Megan co-owned an award-winning restaurant, where she mastered the art of blending flavors and crafting sensory experiences, whether through a perfectly balanced cocktail or thoughtfully developed dish. This same philosophy now drives her approach to skincare: using the best quality ingredients in the right combinations to create products that nourish, protect, and enhance the skin.
Her passion for plant medicine deepened after a life-changing accident led her to explore the healing power of medical cannabis and CBD for pain management. Upon Canada’s legalization of cannabis, she studied its therapeutic benefits and became a strong advocate for natural, science-backed wellness solutions. Having also experienced side effects from conventional treatments, including pharmaceutical sensitivity triggered by Accutane at 15, she understood firsthand the need for clean, multipurpose skincare that delivers results without unnecessary ingredients or steps.
Searching for purpose in her life again, she turned to her passion for nature and holistic wellness. She spent three years studying with Formula Botanica, becoming a certified organic formulator specializing in anti-aging ingredients.
